Meet my Sculptor: James Van Schaik

Wanted to take a minute to introduce the person doing our upcoming WWII Marine.  Experienced figure sculptor James Van Schaik, hailing from Canada, has made a living doing figures for companies such as Reaper Miniatures, Wizkids, Games Workshop, RAFM, and Aberrant Games.  I contacted him after seeing several of the pieces he did for Reaper Miniatures.  He jumped at the chance to work on some WWII figures, as that is a era of interest for him.  He's been great to work with, and also has a blog showing off some of his other works.  Amazing stuff all around.

He just featured our Marine on his own blog "From the Knife's Edge".

He gave me a approximate estimate of end of November for having the sculpt done.  After that, it's off to the casting guys to get a mold made and a few copies cast.

We'll have unpainted figures available first, and have painted figures for sale sometime later.

The price point hasn't been set yet.  I'm waiting till I hear a hard quote from the casting guys.  The first bit of income we make from this figure will go straight into another sculpt.
