A bit less abstract... Can anyone name the battle? |
My son is turning 1 year old today! I've got him on a steady diet of BMC, reissued Airfix, and recast Marx. Once he can handle the longer barrels, we'll get him some Armies in Plastic and maybe some Hat. I reckon by the time he's three, he'll have a nice collection of Barzso, TSSD, and some Britains Deetails.
The very first toy soldiers that I had that were my very own (not hand-me-down Marx figures) were Britiains Deetail Civil War figures. I had about 15 of them, and they were awesome. My grandmother bought them for me at a little hobby store in Cleveland, Tennessee. I've always loved those figures, and still have them all. I remember looking at them in in the store in the locked glass case, and thinking how amazing they looked all lined up together, and was thrilled when my grandmother had me pick out some to take home.

I know what battle now, but I cheated...I will say its a Currier & Ives
:)
Is it Bull Run? 1st or 2nd?
Jay
Wilson's Creek?
At the risk of usurping Beau's command of the CC blog,
no and no.
True that, no and no. It's a battle from the great state of Georgia, though the connection to our new release is rather oblique.
Beau, you've got more obliques than battalion drill! ;)
