Approving Prototypes

We're in the extremely difficult stage of approving prototypes. We look over every little part on each figure, making sure it's just how we want it. And then we have to see whether the factory can do just what we want. Sometimes we have to make compromises, shifting an arm here, a bayonet scabbard there... and I always have to remind myself that these are toy soldiers. We want to give you a really nice product that you can set up anywhere and be proud of, but at the same time keeping the cost reasonable.

We saw what could be the final versions of the figures today for the first time, and I think they are looking pretty good! Still don't have an exact time frame for release yet... we'll be able to give you a closer date once production actually starts.

We're doing our best to keep these at the same price as set #1. As you may know, prices are going up on everything, and our hobby is no exception. Only the future will tell how it all shakes out.

Speaking of the future, I'm excited to say that research has begun in earnest on set #3. No, I ain't saying what it is, but I'm looking to work with a renowned artist to come up with some excellent poses and ideas. Nothing locked in yet, but it's really shaping up to be something special.

No hints on set #3? Is it Non-Civil War?
