I just want to say THANK YOU for all the orders that we've gotten over the past couple months with our $6.99 sale on our Confederate Infantry. I know a lot of you were guys that already had some in your collection, and your contribution and support for the hobby is great! But I saw a lot of new names as well, so hopefully you liked the figures, and are willing to hang with us for a bit.
I wanted to let you know that we'll soon be ending the sale and returning our figures to a permanent price of $9.99. Our stock is sitting at a comfortable level (I can get my car in the garage now!!), and $10 is still gaining us a few dollars profit on each bag.
Also, the free shipping will be going away as well. You may have already read it, but if you haven't, I'll point you to the write-up posted at Toy Soldiers of San Diego about free shipping. It moved me, thus, no more free shipping. Besides, with postage costs going up all the time, I knew it was an unsustainable model from the get-go. Here's a brief quote from Nick at TSSD that really brought the point home.
I HAVE SEEN PLENTY OF BUSINESSES FAIL AND DISAPPEAR, OR EVEN WORSE, THEY REMAIN IN BUSINESS....BUT DO NOT MAKE A NORMAL AND REASONABLE PROFIT. IT'S JUST "TRADING DOLLARS".
I WISH THAT WHOEVER STARTED THIS CRAZY-NESS OF "FREE" AND GIVING AWAY THEIR BUSINESS AND MUCH NEEDED INCOME.....TO FEED OUR FAMILIES, PAY OUR BILLS, WORK AND EARN A FAIR AND MODEST INCOME ....
... I WISH THEY WOULD CONSIDER THE DAMAGE THEY HAVE HELPED TO PROMOTE.
Well said Nick! We'll re-evaluate shipping costs and have a new standard set up soon. But until them, feel free to continue taking advantage of the $6.99 sale with free shipping when you purchase 4 or more bags. I'll end it this coming weekend.

I read that rant at TSSD too .....Other your sale NONE of the usual dealers are offering Free anything.
I know of a couple dealers who do free shipping... HB gives free shipping on orders over $100, and TF does free on orders over $50.
Not to mention, Amazon, who sell a variety of things, does a LOT of free shipping, which is sort of shifting the whole paradigm of what to expect from online dealers. Finding the place with free shipping has become a routine part of the online buying experience for shoppers.
Ok but they are doing it too on orders of a certain total. I still feel you should not feel guilty and agree with TSSD. Do what you must to get back YOUR investment. TSSD still makes a tidy profit on direct sales
