Well, September is finally here. September ought to be called "National Toy Soldier Month". All the big names start coming out with new stuff. TSSD is releasing their Custer Playset... Mr. Barzso has us all guessing what he might have up his sleeve (for the latest guesses, check out the Hobby Bunker or Treefrog Treasures forum boards). Whether you're chompin' at the bit to get to OTSN, or simply starting your Christmas list, this is one of the best times of the year.
For us, we are getting ever closer to actually having a product to sell. After investing a fair amount of our savings, talking with business advisers, bankers, sculptors, dealers, graphic designers, and lots of collectors, we can finally see the end in site. And by the end, I mean this whole time period of "starting a business". Hopefully, within the next two to three months, we'll be in the "in business" time period. Sounds much more exciting.
Sculpting for set #2 continues and should be completed by the end of the year if not sooner. We still haven't heard from the factory on whether we'll have a few bags at Chicago or not, so we're crossing our fingers. If we don't, oh well, it gives us more time to shop! As soon as we get there, we'll be assigned a room number, and we'll post it here, so you can come visit us. We'll try to take lots of pictures, and we'll post updates the whole time we are there.... probably several a day. This is awful, but my favorite part of the Chicago Show... there's an Olive Garden across from the hotel, the best I've ever eaten at. This time of year they offer a "never ending spaghetti bowl". I can't wait!
